The closing stage of the IV intra-university engineering “Digital Technologies-2024” hackathon took place at A. N. Kosygin Moscow State Textile University on March 13, 2024.  The event was a new round of engineering creativity and digital simulation development among students.

The event took place from December 11, 2023 and was aimed to get students immersed in project activities, develop skills in innovative design, programming and successful implementation of developed ideas as startup projects.

GET LAB (part of ETC GET JSC, Rosatom State Corporation) made a significant contribution to the organization and conduct the competition, by developing for the participants cases on digital simulation based on its own platform REPEAT - a unique constructor of digital twins, brought to the Russian market in 2021. 

The round table “Crosscutting Technologies and Artificial Intelligence” was also held as part of the final stage of the hackathon. Sergey Bagautdinov, a developer of the System Development Department of GET LAB LLC, made a report “Digital twins and their role to improve the efficiency of production processes”. Sergey spoke about the importance and potential use of Digital Twins in modern industry and production, focusing on the advantages of their use - reducing risks, optimizing costs and reducing release time to market. 

“"Digital twins allow not just to virtualize processes and equipment, but can significantly improve their efficiency through more accurate simulation and prediction of production results”, said the speaker.

The hackathon participants passed a comprehensive assessment by the jury, including the business idea justification, actuality and relevance to the chosen topic, the implementation level of the device or software product, as well as the economic justification and the level of project presentation.

The teams that presented the most impressive and high-tech projects were awarded with valuable gifts, certificates and an offer to undergo an internship at GET LAB LLC at the end of the competition.
