On October 17, within the framework of the Belarusian Energy and Environmental Forum in Minsk, JSC Engineering and Technology Center GET (JSC ETC GET, part of the management circuit of Rusatom Service JSC) and the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement will promote the cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the field of education, science and innovation.

The parties are going to consolidate resources to organize training, professional development, professional and simulator training of BNTU graduates, conduct hackathons, case championships and round tables on mathematical modeling, introduction of best practices in the field of mathematical modeling in BNTU educational process.

The cooperation agreement also provides the expansion of the JSC ETC GET engineering and mathematics schools network and the creation of a joint educational project “School of Modeling” at BNTU. The Simulation School is designed to promote the development of talented young people - senior students interested in professional development in the Russian field of mathematical modeling, and is also aimed at training specialists to work with the domestic technology of simulator construction, created and used for 30 years by JSC ETC GET.

On behalf of JSC ETC GET the agreement was signed by Managing Director Alexei Kovalevich, on behalf of BNTU - by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik.

The decision to consolidate the main areas of cooperation was preceded by the joint project realization - in 2022 JSC ETC GET supplied the analytical simulator of NPP for BNTU. Installation of the analytical simulator opened wide educational opportunities for students: due to the analytical simulator it became possible for BNTU students to conduct laboratory and practical classes, complex scientific projects.

“The interaction experience with BNTU within the framework of the NPP analytical simulator supply project shows great potential in expanding cooperation between our organizations. We are confident that the integration of Rosatom State Corporation resources and BNTU competences will be the important step towards the development of synthesis of science and high technologies in education”, - said Alexey Kovalevich.
