On the margins of TIBO-2023 forum, ETC GET JSC signs an agreement with Belarusian partners

On April 19 in the framework of the TIBO-2023 forum (Minsk, Republic of Belarus, April 18-21) a quadripartite agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between the Engineering Center GET JSC (a part of the Rusatom Service JSC, Rosatom State Corporation), Belenergo SPA, Belenergoremnadka OJSC and Rusatom Bel LLC, the country office of the Rosatom State Corporation in the Republic of Belarus. The agreement was signed in the presence of Viktor Karankevich, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, on the Belarusian side, and Ekaterina Solntseva, Digitalization Director of Rosatom State Corporation, on the Russian side.

The document establishes the key areas of cooperation in joint projects in simulation engineering and building of digital twins, including the development and implementation of analytical and full-scale simulator systems, development of digital twins of process cycles of power plants, boiler plants and other power facilities, training of instructors of power facilities.

Also according to the signed agreement, ETC GET JSC as an industry center of competence in the field of digital simulation and simulation engineering will promote the implementation of best practices in the improvement of business processes with a widespread use of digital tools.

“The results of joint activity in the simulator and digital industries are important in terms of import substitution, especially today under external constraints. Signing of the agreement will mark our next step towards strengthening the technological sovereignty of our countries. The use of modern simulators at power facilities ensures a high level of training and advanced training of personnel and reliability of power equipment operation.

Positive examples of such cooperation are already there: with the support of Rosatom State Corporation, a full-scale simulator for personnel training has been installed and is successfully operated at the training center of the Belarusian nuclear power plant,” said Viktor Karankevich, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus.

“Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Russia really guarantees a technological independence not only “here and now” but also in the long term. Digital technologies are the basis that will determine the competitiveness of the industry, the economy, and the energy sector as a whole in the future. Therefore, the signing of the agreement is the first very significant and not the last step in our joint movement towards the creation of new generation digital technologies, which will help bring the energy sector, industry and economy to a serious competitive level,” said Ekaterina Solntseva, Digitalization Director of Rosatom, in her welcoming address to the participants of the event.

“The experience of interaction with our Belarusian colleagues in the framework of the full-scale simulator supply to the Training Center of the Belarusian NPP reflects a great potential in expanding cooperation between our companies. We are sure that pooling the resources of Rosatom State Corporation and the key enterprises of the energy system of the Republic of Belarus in the field of simulator building and digital twins will become an important stage in strengthening the Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the field of digital transformation of business processes,” noted Alexey Kovalevich, Managing Director of ETC GET JSC.
